Frank and Shawn met 15 years ago, at Rosedale's famed, Lakes Restaurant. In 2010, they launched Frank's Kitchen to critical acclaim.

In 2018, Frank and Shawn moved Frank's Kitchen to St. Clair Avenue West, opening FK as their first solo venture.

After a 2 year apprenticeship at a 2 Michelin Star restaurant in Lyons, France, Frank returned to Toronto and worked at some of the city's finest restaurants. He then completed a stage under the critically acclaimed Jean-Georges Vongerichten in New York City. He later served as Head Chef of Toronto institution, Centro, and then as Executive Chef to Marc Thuet, before opening Frank's Kitchen in Little Italy in 2010, and FK, in 2018. He has recently received his Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers.


Shawn Cooper / OWNER & OPERATOR

Prior to opening FK and Frank's Kitchen, Shawn was General Manager of the Platinum Club at the Air Canada Centre for 5 years. With over 30 years of industry experience, she oversees business operations and leads an acclaimed team of service professionals most having been with the Frank's Kitchen family for 9 years. Very passionate about food, beverage and high level service, she loves all things "restaurant".
